The Slovenian National Assembly has approved by a vote of 70-4 the declaration of October 25, henceforth to be observed as "Sovereignty Day", a new national holiday in Slovenia to mark the day in 1991 when the last Yugoslav soldier left Slovenia.
This new, October 25, "Sovereignty Day" holiday will remain a working day, and January 2nd will also remain a working day (01-Jun-2012), thus keeping unchanged the official list of 2015 non-working public holidays in Slovenia, as announced earlier this year by the Government of Slovenia (05-Jan-2015).
