The Solomon Islands caretaker Minister for Home Affairs and Deputy Prime Minister, Manasseh Maelanga, the minister responsible for declaring national public holidays in the Solomon Islands, has announced that the Cabinet of the Solomon Islands had declared Friday, July 10, 2015, as a day in lieu non-working public holiday in the Solomon Islands.
As per the aforementioned announcement, the declaration of Friday, July 10, 2015, as a day in lieu non-working public holiday in the Solomon Islands is due to the annual date of July 7 being forecasted as poor weather, causing the celebrations of the 37th independence anniversary of the Solomon Islands to be moved to Friday, July 10, 2015.
The annual date of July 7, 2015, will remain a non-working public holiday in the Solomon Islands, nonetheless.
