The government of Timor Leste has issued a press communiqué containing its annual list of official non-working public holidays in Timor Leste for the calendar year 2015 (Feriadu sira iha tinan 2015).

As usual (2014-02-05, 2013-01-28, 2011-12-28 and 2010-12-30), the aforementioned announcement follows the precepts of law No.10/2005, which overhauled Timor Leste's public holidays (2005-08-12) and in addition specifies the dates for the 2 Muslim public holiday in East Timor for 2015.

The aforementioned list of official public holidays in Timor Leste for the calendar year 2015 applies to both the private and public sectors. However, in addition, public sector employees regularly are granted additional one-off, but predictable, public holidays (2015-02-16, 2014-08-13, 2014-04-15, 2014-03-01, 2013-11-25, 2013-08-16, 2013-03-25, 2013-02-11, 2012-12-20, 2012-11-26, 2012-10-29, 2012-07-07, 2012-07-03, 2012-05-15, 2012-04-11, 2012-04-04, 2012-03-15, 2012-02-17 and 2012-01-20).
