Tonga's Prime Minister's Office has issued a communiqué confirming that the date of the upcoming Constitution Day/Tonga National Day annual non-working public holiday in Tonga will be Monday, November 2, 2015, as per the "Public Holidays (Amendment) Act 2010" (Act No. 10 of 2010).
The aforementioned announcement, "When any public holiday falls upon a Wednesday, that public holiday shall be celebrated on the Monday before the actual public holiday" is in line with Tonga's Ministry of Information and Communications communiqué announcing the official list of non-working public holidays in Tonga for the calendar year 2015, announced late last year (2014-12-20), and with the terms of the "Public Holidays (Amendment) Act 2010" (Act No. 10 of 2010) which amended the public holidays legislation of Tonga (2010-05-19 and 2010-04-08).
