Bangladesh's Central Bank (Bangladesh Bank) has amended its previously-released list of official bank holidays in Bangladesh for the calendar year 2016, by also declaring Monday, July 4, 2016, as a one-off non-working bank holiday in Bangladesh's "all state-owned and private commercial banks".

The aforementioned announcement of Monday, July 4, 2016, as a one-off non-working bank holiday in Bangladesh's "all state-owned and private commercial banks" thus amends the list of official bank holidays in Bangladesh for 2016 released earlier this year (2016-01-04), but follows the recent announcement that Bangladesh's Prime Minister, Sheikh Hasina, had approved a one-off non-working public holiday in Bangladesh on Monday, July 4, 2016, by virtue of her executive powers (2016-06-22).
