The government of Benin has released the communiqué 034/MTFPAS/DC/SGM/DGT/DRP/SRI, signed by Benin's Ministry of Labour's Cabinet Director, David Vidéhouénou, on behalf of the Ministre Du Travail, De La Fonction Publique Et Des Affaires Sociales, Adidjatou Mathys, announcing that Monday, September 12, 2016, had been declared as a non-working public holiday throughout Bénin on account of the upcoming annual non-working public holidays in the Bénin for the Tabaski (aka. Eid al-Adha or Feast of Sacrifice).
The aforementioned declaration of Monday, September 12, 2016, had been declared as a non-working public holiday throughout Bénin on account of the upcoming annual non-working public holidays in the Bénin on account of the upcoming Tabaski ("la journée du lundi 12 septembre 2016 fériée, chômée et payée sur l'ensemble du territoire national"), is in line with the previously-announced list of annual non-working public holidays in the Benin for the calendar year 2016, as announced by the government of Benin, earlier this year (2016-02-24), as well as with the "loi n°90-019 du 27 juillet 1990 fixant les fêtes légales en République du Bénin".
