Burundi's President, Pierre Nkurunziza, has announced that the date of the upcoming Ad el-Fitr (End of Ramadan) non-working public holiday in Burundi would be Wednesday, July 6, 2016, and that that date had been declared a non-working public holiday throughout Burundi ("un jour chm et pay").

The aforementioned announcement that President Nkurunziza had declared Wednesday, July 6, 2016, as a non-working public holiday in Burundi, on account of the upcoming Ad el-Fitr (End of Ramadan), corresponds to the expected date for the 2016 Ad el-Fitr in Burundi.
