The list of official public holidays for 2017 in Cambodia once again includes the June 1st, "International and Cambodian Children's Day", which was introduced a few years ago (2010-09-03).
Additionally, the aforementioned decree maintains October 23 as a non-working public holiday in Cambodia to commemorate the Paris Peace Agreements of 1991, as well as the new October 15 non-working public holiday, added last year to mark the death of the King Father (2012-10-23). The October 23 non-working public holiday in Cambodia had previously been canceled in the mid-2000's (2005-09-15) in order to promote January 7 as National Liberation Day, which marks the toppling of the Khmer Rouge in 1979.
