The "Ministère de l'Emploi, du Travail et de la Prévoyance Sociale" of the government of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, has issued a statement denying rumours that tomorrow, Tuesday, February 16, 2016, had been declared non-working public holidays in the Democratic Republic of the Congo ("La journée reste donc ouvrable pour le travail sur toute l'étendue de la RDC").
The aforementioned announcement is due to a call by the former governor of the DRC State of Katanga, Moïse Katumbi, for workers and schoolchildren to stay at home on Tuesday, February 16, 2016.
