Gambian Public Holiday February 18

Gambia's president, Yahya Jammeh, has declared Thursday, February 18, 2016, as a non-working public holiday throughout Gambia "in observance of the 51st Independence anniversary of The Islamic Republic of The Gambia".

As per custom (2012-11-07, 2012-07-20, 2011-12-27, 2011-04-29, 2011-04-21 and 2011-02-17), the aforementioned announcement that president Jammeh had declared Thursday, February 18, 2016, as a non-working public holiday throughout Gambia, is signed by the President of the Republic of The Gambia, Sheikh Professor Alhaji Dr. Yahya AJJ Jammeh, GMRG, as a FAAICL (Fellow of Australian Asia Institute for Civil Leadership).
