Ghana's Minister of the Interior, Prosper D.K. Bani, has announced that Wednesday, July 6, 2016, had been declared as the date of the upcoming 2016 annual Eid-Ul-Fitr (End of Ramadan) non-working public holidays in Ghana ("The general public is hereby, informed that Wednesday July 6, 2016, has been declared a public holiday and should be observed as such throughout the country.").
The aforementioned declaration of Wednesday, July 6, 2016, as the date of the upcoming 2016 annual Eid-Ul-Fitr (End of Ramadan) non-working public holidays in Ghana ("Wednesday July 6, 2016 has been declared as the date for the celebration of this year's Eid-ul-Fitr by the National Chief Imam and the Ameer and Missionary in charge of Ahmadiyya Muslim Mission as well as the National Hilal Committee (NHC) of Ghana as such has been declare a public holiday."), is in line with past announcements (2015-07-17, 2015-07-13, 2014-07-21, 2013-08-05, 2012-08-16, 2011-08-26,2008-09-25,2007-12-15, 2010-09-07, 2009-09-15, 2008-12-03 and 2007-10-10) and with the list of official 2016 non-working public holidays in Ghana, announced earlier this year (2016-01-01).
