Jordanian Public Holidays April 24 and May 1-2

The Jordanian Prime Ministry has issued a circular decreeing Sunday, April 24, as well as Sunday and Monday, May 1-2, 2016, as additional one-off non-working public holidays in Jordan on account of the upcoming Palm Sunday, Easter Sunday and Easter Monday non-working public holidays of Jordan in 2016.

Last year (2015-04-10 and 2015-03-27), Jordanian Prime Minister, Abdullah Ensour, had issued 2 similar circulars, one decreeing 2 additional one-off non-working public holidays in Jordan for Sunday, April 5, and Sunday, April 12, 2015, on account of the upcoming Palm Sunday and Easter Sunday, and later, another decreeing Monday, April 13, 2015, as yet another additional one-off non-working public holidays in Jordan on account of the upcoming Easter Monday.

Today's aforementioned declarations of 3 additional one-off non-working public holidays in Jordan for Sunday, April 24, as well as Sunday and Monday, May 1-2, 2016, is limited to Christians and is in addition to the list of official non-working public holidays and bank holidays in Jordan for the calendar year 2016, as released last autumn (2015-10-22).
