Kyrgyzstan January 2017 Public Holidays Announced

The Ministry of Labor, Employment and Migration of the Kyrgyz Republic has announced the calendar of January 2017 non-working public holidays in Kyrgyzstan in January 2017, all the while ruling-out the declaration of a longer period of non-working public holidays in Kyrgyzstan to run from January 1 until January 8, 2017.

As per today's announcement, Monday, January 2, and Monday, January 9, 2017, will be one-off non-working public holidays in Kyrgyzstan.

In past years, the initial declaration of the annual public holidays in Kyrgyzstan for the upcoming calendar year (2015-12-09, 2015-07-14, 2013-12-22, 2013-01-04, 2012-03-14 and 2011-01-01), was often followed by the piecemeal declaration of one-off bridge non-working public holidays throughout the year, compensated by declaring a weekend day as a regular working day (2016-04-20, 2016-02-16, 2015-12-24, 2014-12-26, 2013-04-28, 2011-12-31, 2010-11-11, 2010-08-25, 2010-02-15, 2009-12-11, 2008-12-19 and 2007-12-27).
