Libya's ruling National Transitional Council has announced that Sunday, December 11, 2016, had been declared a non-working public holiday throughout Libya on account of the upcoming annual Mawlid Al-Nabi (Birth of the Prophet) non-working public holiday in Libya for 2016.
The aforementioned announcement that Sunday, December 11, 2016, had been declared a non-working public holiday throughout Libya on account of the upcoming Birth of the Prophet public holiday in Libya for 2016, is in line with the overhaul of Libyan public holidays carried-out 4 years ago (2012-01-08), and the list of official non-working 2016 public holidays in Libya as announced by the Libyan government, early this year (2016-01-03).
