The Government of India’s State of Kerala has issued G.O.(Rt) No.5335/2026/GAD, dated October 16, declaring Monday, October 19, 2026, a public holiday for the Navaratri celebrations.
The additional holiday applies to government and semi-government institutions, public-sector undertakings, institutions functioning under the Negotiable Instruments Act, professional colleges and other educational institutions.
The previously scheduled October 20 and 21 public holidays remain in place, extending the holiday period for institutions covered by the declaration.

Yemen's Ministry of Civil Service and Administrative Development, in Sana’a, has announced to all employees of public service units within the state administrative apparatus and the public and mixed sectors that next Wednesday, Jumada al-Ula 3, corresponding to October 14, will be an official holiday in observance of the 63rd anniversary of the glorious October 14 Revolution.
Separately, Yemen’s Ministry of Civil Service and Insurance, based in Aden, has announced that Wednesday, October 14, 2026, would be an official public holiday to mark the 63rd anniversary of the October 14 Revolution, for employees of state administrative units, the public and mixed sectors, economic units and the private sector.

Bangladesh's Central Bank has directed scheduled banks to remain closed from Tuesday, October 20, to Thursday, October 22, 2026, for Durga Puja, under Section 45 of the Bank Company Act, 1991.
In compensation, banks will instead operate on Saturday, October 17.
The October 11 circular also requires branches serving seaports, land ports and airports to provide limited services for import and export activities during October 20–24.

Bolivia’s Ministry of Labour, Employment and Social Welfare has issued communiqué DGTHSO-0043/2026 granting female employees a paid half-day holiday on Monday, October 12, 2026, to mark Bolivian Women’s Day.
The measure applies to women employed in the public and private sectors and exceptionally transfers the observance from Sunday, October 11. The absence may not be deducted from pay or charged against personal leave or annual vacation.
