Last week (30-Jun-2016), the very same Nigerian Minister of Interior, Abdulrahman Dambazau, in a statement on behalf of the Federal Government of Nigeria, had announced that Tuesday and Wednesday, July 5-6, 2016, had been declared as non-working public holidays throughout Nigeria on account of the upcoming Eid-el-Fitri (End of Ramadan) annual public holidays of Nigeria.

Contrary to what happened in previous years (14-Jul-2015, 23-Jul-2014, 05-Aug-2013, 13-Aug-2012, 18-Sep-2009 and 25-Sep-2008), though not systematically (24-Aug-2011 and 03-Sep-2010), the Nigerian Government then and now had not moved the upcoming End of Ramadan public holidays to adjoin a nearby weekend.
