The Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Interior of the Federal Government of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari, on behalf of the Minister of Interior, Abdulrahman Dambazau, has announced that the Nigerian Government had declared Monday, May 2, 2016, as a non-working public holiday in Nigeria on account of the annual May 1st public holiday of Nigeria falling on a Sunday.
The aforementioned declaration of Monday, May 2, 2016, as a non-working public holiday in Nigeria is in line with past declarations of May 1st public holidays in Nigeria (2015-04-28, 2014-04-29, 2013-04-27 and 2012-04-27).
