The Government of Rwanda has released a communique reminding the population of Rwanda that Monday, May 2, 2016, will be a day in lieu non-working public holiday throughout Rwanda on account of the upcoming annual Rwandan public holiday to mark Workers' Day falling on a Sunday in 2016.

The aforementioned declaration of Monday, May 2, 2016, will be a day in lieu non-working public holiday throughout Rwanda on account of the upcoming annual Rwandan public holiday to mark Workers' Day falling on a Sunday in 2016, is in line with the earlier (01-Nov-2015) release of the full list of official non-working public holidays in Rwanda for the calendar year 2016 by the Rwandan government, as well as the "Arrκtι Presidentiel N°06/01 Du 16/02/2011 Determinant Les Jours Feries Officiels" which, 5 years ago, overhauled the list of Rwandan non-working public holidays (07-Mar-2011).
