The government of Slovakia's Ministry of Foreign Affairs has published its annual official list of 2017 Slovakian bank holidays and non-working public holidays in Slovakia for the upcoming calendar year 2017.

Note that, as it did for the past 4 years (2015-10-16, 2014-09-28, 2013-08-13 and 2012-09-11), the aforementioned official list of 2017 Slovakian bank holidays and non-working public holidays in Slovakia for the upcoming calendar year 2017 still includes the September 1st and September 15 public holidays, despite their being under consideration for cancellation (2012-06-25, 2012-06-21, 2011-10-08 and 2011-09-04), though recently re-confirmed (2014-09-22 and 2014-09-03).

As per custom (2015-10-16, 2014-09-28, 2013-08-13, 2012-09-11, 2011-10-08, 2010-09-04, 2009-10-15 and 2008-10-31), the Slovakian official public holidays list excludes any public holiday that, on a given year, falls on a Saturday or Sunday.
