    As per the aforementioned press release, "Cotonou, August 24, 2026 – The Minister Delegate in charge of the Budget and the Civil Service announces: On the occasion of the celebration of Mawlid, and in accordance with the provisions of Law No. 90-019 of July 27, 1990, establishing public holidays in the Republic of Benin, Tuesday, August 25, 2026, is a paid public holiday throughout the national territory.".

    Note that August 24 itself remains a normal working day in Selangor, and Menteri Besar Amirudin Shari has denied a viral poster claiming that the day had already been declared a public holiday.

    The government presidency of Tunisia, based on the recommendation of the Mufti de la République, Hichem Ben Mahmoud, has issued a communique declaring Tuesday, August 25, 2026, a paid non-working public holiday for state agents, local authorities and public administrative establishments, on account of the upcoming Mouled (the Prophet's Birthday), and in line with the provisions of Presidential Decree No. 223 of 2021, dated December 7, 2021, relating to public holidays entitling public employees to leave.

    Bahrain's Central Bank has published a circular declaring Tuesday, August 25, 2026, as a bank holiday in Bahrain.

    The aforementioned announcement, signed by the Central Bank's Director of the Banking Services Directorate, Hessa Saif Al Buflasa, reads as follows, "Please be advised that the Central Bank of Bahrain (CBB) will be closed during Prophet Mohammed’s Date of Birth Holiday which will fall on Tuesday, 25th August 2026.", adding that the "CBB will resume operations on Wednesday, 26th August 2026.".

    South Sudan's Labour Minister, Anthony Lino Makana, has welcomed the bill but urged lawmakers not to rush its passage, stating that "This is something I want the August House to take notice of so that we do not pass something and then tomorrow there are complaints".
