The Sri Lankan Ministry of Public Administration and Local Government has announced that the Sri Lankan Government had decided not to declare Monday, June 20, 2016, as a day in lieu non-working public holiday in Sri Lanka in view of the annual Poson Poya Day non-working public holiday of Sri Lanka falling on a Sunday in 2016.
The aforementioned announcement by Sri Lanka's Minister of Public Administration and Local Government that the Sri Lankan Government had decided not to declare Monday, June 20, 2016, as a day in lieu non-working public holiday in Sri Lanka, leaves unchanged the official list of Sri Lankan public holidays for the calendar year 2016 as announced last year (2015-05-29).
