Timor Leste 2016-2017 Year-End Public Holidays

The government of Timor Leste has announced that it had once again decided to declare 2 additional year-end public sector holidays ("Toleránsia de Pontu ba loron 26 fulan dezembru tinan 2016, no mos loron 2 fulan janeiru tinan 2017"), this time on December 26, 2016, and on January 2, 2017.

As per the aforementioned communiqué, "... the Government decided to grant a day-off on December 26th, 2016 and January 2nd, 2017. This decision covers all employees and agents of the ministries or their dependent services, as well as the institutes and bodies incorporated in the indirect State administration".

As usual (2016-10-29, 2016-03-21, 2016-02-09, 2014-12-22, 2013-12-13, 2012-12-20, 2012-11-26, 2012-10-29, 2012-07-07, 2012-07-03 and 2012-04-04), the Secretariat of State of the Council of Ministers of Timor Leste, states that the aforementioned decision is based on law No.10/2005, which overhauled Timor Leste's public holidays (2005-08-12).
