The Venezuelan regulatory body for the banking sector (La Superintendencia de Instituciones del Sector Bancario) has released the official list of the dates of the non-working public holidays in Venezuela in 2017 as well as of the bank holidays in Venezuela for the upcoming calendar year 2017.
As usual (2015-12-14, 2014-08-04, 2013-08-01, 2012-07-17, 2011-08-06 and 2010-12-05), the list gives details of the banks-only holidays that are moved to adjoin the weekend nearest to their traditional date. In 2017, seven such bank holidays will be moved to the nearest Monday, while one will not be observed as it falls on a Sunday, being compensated, in 2017, by a one-off non-working bank holiday in Venezuela on September 11.
