The Government of India's State of Andhra Pradesh has issued the "Declaration of public Holiday on 02.12.2017 on account of Eid Milad un Nabi general holiday on instead of 01.12.2017" (G.O.Rt.No.2669 of 30-11-2017), which amends the terms of the extra-ordinary Gazette (G.O.RT.No. 2412) the announcement of the days which shall be non-working public holidays for the calendar year 2017, by moving the upcoming "Eid Miladun Nabi" (Prophet's Birthday) public holiday in India's State of Andhra Pradesh, from Friday, December 1, to Saturday, December 2, 2017.
The aforementioned Government Order No.2669, of 30-11-2017, states that "In partial modification of the orders issued in the Government Order No.2412, General Administration (Poll.A) Department, dated 24.11.2016, notifying the General Holidays and Optional Holidays, the Government hereby declare 02.12.2017 (Saturday) as General Holiday on the occasion of Eid Miladun Nabi instead of 01.12.2017 (Friday)." and justifies the change of date of the upcoming "Eid Miladun Nabi" (Prophet's Birthday) public holiday in India's State of Andhra Pradesh, from Friday, December 1, to Saturday, December 2, 2017, based on a letter of November 24 ("In the letter 2nd read above, the Chief Executive Officer, Andhra Pradesh State Waqf Board, Vijayawada has requested to change the holiday to 02.12.2017 on the Occasion of Eid Miladun Nabi (S.A.W.S) 1439 Hijri instead of 01.12.2017 declared earlier").
This past week (2017-11-27, 2017-11-23 and 2017-11-22), the Indian States of Karnataka, Telangana and Tamil Nadu, which had also originally declared Friday, December 1, 2017, as the date of the 2017 Eid Miladun Nabi (Prophet's Birthday) public holiday (2016-11-23 and 2016-11-15), also announced a change of date for December 2.
