Azerbaijan's Cabinet of Ministers has made its annual year-end public holidays announcement, whereby the period of Sunday, December 31, 2017, to Wednesday, January 3, 2018, inclusively, had been declared as official non-working public holidays in Azerbaijan on account of the upcoming annual "Solidarity Day of World Azerbaijanis" and "Western New Year" public holidays.

The aforementioned declaration of the period of Sunday, December 31, 2017, to Wednesday, January 3, 2018, inclusively, as non-working public holidays in Azerbaijan, is in line with the official list of 2017 non-working public holidays in Azerbaijan, which was published late last year (2016-12-01) which itself was based on Article 105 of the Labor Code of Azerbaijan as it relates to the list of official non-working public holidays (2005-12-30).

Last year (2016-12-01), Azerbaijan's Cabinet of Ministers had announced the full list of official annual non-working public holidays in Azerbaijan for the calendar year 2017, instead of only the year-end public holidays in Azerbaijan, as was the case in the years before that (2014-11-04 and 2013-12-11).
