The government of Benin has released a communiqué ("note de service N°049MTFP/DC/SGM/DGT/DRP/SRI en date à Cotonou le 27 Novembre 2017") signed by Benin's Ministry of Labour, announcing that Thursday, November 30, 2017, had been declared as a non-working public holiday throughout Bénin on account of the upcoming annual non-working public holidays in the Bénin of the "Maouloud" (the Prophet's Birthday).
As was the case on past occasions (2016-12-09), the aforementioned declaration of Thursday, November 30, 2017, had been declared as a non-working public holiday throughout Bénin on account of the upcoming annual non-working public holiday in the Bénin for the "Maouloud" ("jeudi le 30 novembre 2017 est une journée décrétée fériée, chômée et payée sur toute l’étendue du territoire national"), is in line with the previously-announced list of annual non-working public holidays in the Benin for the calendar year 2017, as announced by the government of Benin, earlier this year (2017-02-11), as well as with the "loi n°90-019 du 27 juillet 1990 fixant les fêtes légales en République du Bénin".
