Bolivia's Ministry of Labour ("Ministerio de Trabajo, Empleo y Previsión Social, a través de la Dirección General de Trabajo, Higiene y Seguridad Ocupacional"), in its Comunicado 24/2016 has confirmed that the Government of Bolivia had declared Monday, May 1, 2017, as a non-working public holiday in Bolivia on account of the annual, May 1, non-working public holiday of Bolivia.
The annual, May 1st, non-working public holiday of Bolivia has often been the source of an additional day in lieu public holiday in Bolivia when it fell on a Sunday (2016-04-28 and 2011-04-15), and also in some cases Saturday (2004-04-29), though not in recent years (2010-04-27), while some bridge holidays were declared on (2012-04-28) and off (2014-04-13 and 2014-04-09).
