Burkina Faso's "Ministère En Charge De La Fonction Publique" has a communiqué announcing that Friday, December 1, 2017, would be a non-working public holiday in Burkina Faso ("la journée du 1er décembre est déclarée chômée et payée sur le territoire national") on account of the upcoming fête du Maouloud (the Prophet's Birthday) annual public holiday in Burkina Faso.

The aforementioned that Friday, December 1, 2017, would be a non-working public holiday in Burkina Faso on account of the upcoming fête du Maouloud (the Prophet's Birthday) annual public holiday in Burkina Faso, is in line with the "Loi n° 019-2000/AN du 27 juin 2000 portant institution de fêtes légales au Burkina Faso" (21-Jul-2000), as amended a year later (18-Jul-2001), and again a couple of years ago (23-Nov-2015), and with the previously-announced list of official non-working public holidays in Burkina Faso for the calendar year 2017, as announced by the government of Burkina Faso earlier this year (30-Jan-2017).
