The aforementioned declaration of Friday morning, November 24, 2017, as a one-off non-working public holiday to allow civil servants to join the March Against Violence Against Women ("el gobierno estará dando medio día (la mañana) de asueto al sector público para conmemorar el Día Internacional de la No Violencia contra la Mujer") is in addition to the list of official non-working public holidays in Costa Rica, as announced late last year (2016-12-12).
