The Ministry of Labour of the Dominican Republic has issued a communiqué confirming that, as per the current public holidays legislation, Monday, November 6, 2017, would be an official non-working public holiday in the Dominican Republic on account of the upcoming Día de la Constitución annual immovable non-working public holiday in the Dominican Republic.

The aforementioned announcement ("El Ministerio de Trabajo reiteró este jueves a toda la colectividad empresarial y trabajadora del país que el lunes 06 de noviembre Día de la Constitución es inamovible y no laborable") that Monday, November 6, 2017, would be an official non-working public holiday in the Dominican Republic is in line with last fall's official listing of public holidays in the Dominican Republic for the year 2017 (06-Nov-2016), and the current public holidays legislation (19-Jun-1997), namely law 139-97.
