The Government of Gibraltar has issued the "Bank and Public Holidays Order 2017" (LN. 2017/224) which specifies the official list of annual Gibraltar bank holidays and non-working public holidays in Gibraltar for the upcoming calendar year 2018.
The aforementioned legislation ("Subsidiary Legislation made under s. 2(3) of the Banking and Financial 2017/224 Dealings Act and by section 58 of the Interpretation and General Clauses Act"), which "may be cited as the Bank and Public Holidays Order 2017", sets forth the bank holidays and public holidays for Gibraltar in the calendar year 2018, once again (2016-11-15 and 2015-11-02) departing from the changes to the rules concerning the Labour Day public holiday (2012-03-03), which were followed in recent years (2014-11-01, 2013-11-02 and 2012-10-28), although this year not applying an odd day in lieu rule, as was done in 2017, for the Gibraltar National Day annual non-working public holiday.
