The government of Guyana has announced, in the "Official Gazette Of Guyana" (271/2017 2783), the dates of the upcoming non-working public holidays in Guyana for the end of 2017 and the beginning of the calendar year 2018.
The aforementioned announcement ("Pursuant To The Provisions Of Sections 3 (1) And 3 (2) Of The Public Holidays Act, Chapter 19:07, Of The Laws Of Guyana, Monday December 25, 2017, Tuesday, December 26, 2017, and Monday, January 1, 2018, are Hereby Declared Public Holidays."), signed by Khemraj Ramjattan MP, as Vice President and Minister Of Public Security Ministry Of Public Security, is in line with the dates of the annual non-working public holidays in Guyana for the calendar year 2017, as announced by the Guyana Government Information Agency, late last year (2016-11-11), as well as the dates of the 2018 public holidays in Guyana, announced last month (2017-11-11).
