Indian Tamil Nadu Moves Milad-un-Nabi Public Holiday

The Government of India's state of Tamil Nadu, in an order issued by Girija Vaidyanathan, chief secretary to the government, has announced that, at the request of the Chief Haji, the annual non-working public holiday in India's state of Tamil Nadu for the Prophet's Birthday (Milad-un-Nabi) would be moved to Saturday, December 2, 2017.

The aforementioned announcement (G.O.Ms.No.962) that the Government of India's state of Tamil Nadu had decided to move the annual non-working public holiday in India's state of Tamil Nadu for the Prophet's Birthday (Milad-un-Nabi) to Saturday, December 2, 2017, thus amends the list of the days which are be non-working public holidays in India's state of Tamil Nadu for the calendar year 2017, as set out in the "Public (Miscellaneous) Department G.O. Ms. No. 893", released last autumn (2016-11-15).
