Indian Telangana Moves 2017 Eid Miladun Nabi Public Holiday

The Government of India's State of Telangana has amended the terms of the "Telangana GO List of General Holidays, Optional Holidays for the year 2017" (G.O.RT.No. 2529) which officially lists the annual non-working public holidays to be observed in the Indian State of Telangana for the calendar year 2017, by moving the Eid Miladun Nabi (Prophet's Birthday) public holiday from Friday, December 1, to Saturday, December 2, 2017.

The aforementioned notification reads: "Following a letter from the Telangana State Wakf Board CEO that Eid Miladun Nabi falls on December 2 instead of December 1, 2017 as per moon sight".

The change to the Eid Miladun Nabi (Prophet's Birthday) public holiday from Friday, December 1, to Saturday, December 2, 2017, as approved by Telangana Chief Minister, K Chandrashekhar Rao (G.O Rt.No.2139 Dated 22.11.2017), thus amends, again (2017-10-16, 2017-09-01 and 2017-07-06), the "Telangana GO List of General Holidays, Optional Holidays for the year 2017" (G.O.RT.No. 2529) which officially listed the annual non-working public holidays to be observed in the Indian State of Telangana for the calendar year 2017 and was released by the Government of India's State of Telangana last autumn (2016-11-23).
