    As per the aforementioned announcement, Asad 28, corresponding to 5 Rabi al-Awwal 1448 AH and August 19, 2026, marks the 107th anniversary of Afghanistan’s independence, and all government offices and institutions across the country will remain closed on Wednesday in observance of the occasion.

    Note that the name change has not yet been formally implemented in legislation.

    The Ministry of Employment, Social Protection and Vocational Training of the Ivory Coast, has announced that Saturday, August 15, 2026, corresponding to the Feast of the Assumption, had been declared a public holiday and a day off throughout the national territory.

    As per the aforementioned press release, this provision is part of the application of decree no. 2011-371 of November 4, 2011, amending and supplementing article 2 of decree no. 96-205 of March 7, 1996 establishing the list and system of public holidays in Ivory Coast.
