The government cabinet of Kosovo has announced its annual list of official non-working public holidays and bank holidays in Kosovo for the calendar year 2017.
Once again (2016-01-11, 2016-01-07, 2014-11-28, 2014-01-08 and 2013-01-11), the aforementioned list of official non-working public holidays and bank holidays in Kosovo for the calendar year 2017, makes no mention of the fact that, in late 2012, the Kosovo Assembly had approved amendments to the current Law on Official Holidays to include November 28 as a new annual public holiday to commemorate the Flag Day of Kosovo (2012-11-20).
The Law on Official Holidays was passed almost ten years ago (2008-05-24) and in its initial form, it incorporated three holidays requested by Albanian deputies, including November 28, but only as an observance day (ie. not a non-working public holiday).
