Lebanon Hariri Bank Holiday February 14

The Association of Banks in Lebanon has announced that Tuesday, February 14, 2017, had once again been declared a bank holiday for all banks and financial institutions of Lebanon, including the Beirut Stock Exchange and the Central Bank of Lebanon, to commemorate the anniversary of the assassination of Prime Minister Rafik Hariri (Commémoration de l'assasinat du PM Rafic Hariri).

The aforementioned communique by the Association of Banks in Lebanon, this year (2015-02-08 and 2014-02-11), anticipates an expected announcement declaring Tuesday, February 14, 2017, as a non-working public holiday for both the private and public sectors to commemorate the anniversary of the 2005 assassination of Prime Minister Rafik Hariri (2014-02-10, 2013-02-09, 2012-02-10, 2011-02-10, 2009-02-10, 2008-02-09, and 2007-02-13).
