The Minister of Interior of the Federal Government of Nigeria, Abdulrahman Bello Dambazau, via his Permanent Secretary, Abubakar Magaji, has announced that the Nigerian Government, had declared Friday, December 1, 2017, as a non-working public holiday throughout Nigeria to mark the Eid-El Maulud (birth of Prophet Muhammad) celebration.

This year's declaration of Friday, December 1, 2017, as a non-working public holiday throughout Nigeria to mark the Eid-El Maulud (birth of Prophet Muhammad) celebration, should be more straightforward than it was 2 years ago (2015-12-22, 2015-12-17 and 2014-12-30).
