The Government of South Sudan, through its Vice-President, James Wani Igga, has announced that tomorrow, Friday, March 10, 2017, would be a one-off official non-working public holiday in South Sudan on account of the "National Prayer Day which was declared by the President".

As per the statement released by the South Sudanese minister in the office of the president, Mayiik Ayii Deng, "Friday, will be a public holiday. This is to allow go to the Friday centers. In Juba, people will go to John Mausoleum. In the states, the governors are directed to organize where the population who hold prayers".
