The government of Tunisia (Présidence du Gouvernement) has announced that the upcoming Nouvel an de l’Hégire (Islamic New Year 1439) annual non-working public holiday throughout Tunisia would be observed on Thursday, September 21, 2017.

The aforementioned announcement of Thursday, September 21, 2017, as the date of the upcoming Islamic New Year annual non-working public holidays of Tunisia, is in line with the dates set out in last year's (2016-12-20) announcement by the government of Tunisia of its official list of the annual non-working public holidays in Tunisia for the calendar year 2017.
