Bahrain's Prime Minister, Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, has issued a circular declaring Tuesday, September 11, 2018, as a non-working public holiday in Bahrain to mark the upcoming annual Islamic New Year 1440 public holidays of Bahrain.
Contrary to some past years, but not all (2017-09-26, 2015-10-11 and 2014-10-23), there was no need to declare a compensatory holiday, as the date of the non-working public holiday in Bahrain to mark the upcoming annual Islamic New Year 1440 public holiday, does not fall during a weekend (2006-08-02).
