Gambian Public Holiday May 12

The Office of the President of the Gambia, Adama Barrow, has announced that Saturday, May 12, 2018, had been declared as a non-working public holiday throughout Gambia "to enable eligible voters to cast their ballots in the Mayoral Elections".

Election-related public holidays are not uncommon in the Gambia (2018-04-10, 2011-11-21, 2011-11-24, 2006-12-18, 2006-12-01).
