After officially ruling it out, yesterday, Honduras' secretaría de Derechos Humanos, Justicia, Gobernación y Descentralización of Honduras, has announced the declaration of Monday, April 30, 2018, as a one-off additional non-working public holiday for Honduras' public sector employees.
The aforementioned announcement that the upcoming Día del Trabajo public holiday of Honduras would not be moved to Monday, April 30, 2018, or give rise to a bridge public holiday on said date, is in line with past public holidays practice in Honduras (2016-04-29, 2016-04-06, 2015-04-10, 2015-04-08, 2011-04-12, 2010-04-12, 2009-04-14 and 2009-04-03).
