Jordanian Prime Minister, Omar Razzaz, has issued a circular decreeing a non-working public holiday in Jordan on Tuesday, November 20, 2018, to commemorate the upcoming annual Jordanian non-working public holiday for the Prophet's birth anniversary.

The aforementioned announcement of Tuesday, November 20, 2018, as the date of the upcoming annual Prophet Mohammad's birthday non-working public holiday in Jordan, is in line with the list of official non-working 2018 public holidays in Jordan, as released late last year (2017-11-05).

In the past (2015-12-04 and 2014-01-07), Jordanian Prime Minister, Abdullah Ensour, had moved the 2014 and 2015 non-working public holiday in Jordan for Prophet Mohammad's Birthday from Monday, January 13, to Sunday, January 12, 2014, and from Wednesday, December 23, to Thursday, December 24, 2015, and, more generally, the Jordanian government often (2017-04-26, 2013-10-31, 2013-04-19, 2013-01-17, 2012-04-24 and 2006-04-25), though not always (2016-05-13, 2016-04-26 and 2014-10-20), moves mid-week public holidays to the nearest weekend, in particular the Labour Day non-working public holiday in Jordan, and the Hijri New Year Jordanian public holiday, to adjoin a nearby weekend.
