Malaysia's governmental Department of Islamic Development Malaysia (Jabatan Kemajuan Islam Malaysia, aka. JAKIM) has published its annual Islamic calendar of public holidays in Malaysia for the western year 2019 (corresponding to 1440-1441 AH).
As usual (2016-10-07, 2015-09-24, 2014-05-24, 2013-12-31, 2012-05-03, 2011-12-082010-05-08 and 2009-05-05), the above announcement of the annual Islamic calendar for the western year 2019 in Malaysia, means that, de facto, the dates of the following Muslim public holidays in Malaysia have now been set for 2019: Maulidur Rasul (The Prophet's Birthday), Israk dan Mikraj (The Prophet's Night Journey), Awal Ramadhan (First of Ramadan), Nuzul Al-Quran (Revelation of the Koran), Hari Raya Puasa (End of Ramadan), Hari Raya Korban (Feast of Sacrifice), and Awal Muharam (Islamic New Year).
