Nigerian Public Holiday October 1

The Minister of Interior of the Federal Government of Nigeria, Abdulrahman Bello Dambazau, has announced that the Nigerian Government, had declared Monday, October 1, 2018, as a non-working public holiday throughout Nigeria on account of Nigeria's upcoming 58th annual independence anniversary.

The aforementioned declaration of Monday, October 1, 2018, as a non-working public holiday throughout Nigeria, did not require the declaration of a day in lieu public holiday as in some past years (27-Sep-2017, 29-Sep-2016, 28-Sep-2015, 25-Sep-2014, 24-Sep-2013, 28-Sep-2012, 26-Sep-2011 and 23-Sep-2010).
