Nigerian Public Holiday October 1

The Minister of Interior of the Federal Government of Nigeria, Abdulrahman Bello Dambazau, has announced that the Nigerian Government, had declared Monday, October 1, 2018, as a non-working public holiday throughout Nigeria on account of Nigeria's upcoming 58th annual independence anniversary.

The aforementioned declaration of Monday, October 1, 2018, as a non-working public holiday throughout Nigeria, did not require the declaration of a day in lieu public holiday as in some past years (2017-09-27, 2016-09-29, 2015-09-28, 2014-09-25, 2013-09-24, 2012-09-28, 2011-09-26 and 2010-09-23).
