The Romanian Government has announced it was considering the declaration of Monday, April 30, 2018, as a one-off non-working public sector holiday throughout Romania to link the May 1st public holiday of Romania with the preceding weekend.

The declaration of Monday, April 30, 2018, as a one-off bridge public holiday in Romania, would amend the lists of public holidays for 2018 in Romania (2017-12-31), once more (2018-03-12, 2018-02-28 and 2018-02-25), though only for the Romanian public sector.

The aforementioned possible declaration of Monday, April 30, 2018, as a one-off non-working public sector holiday throughout Romania to link the May 1st public holiday of Romania with the preceding weekend, will be discussed at the upcoming cabinet meeting on Thursday, April 12, 2018.
