A spokesman for Saudi Arabia's Civil Service Ministry has announced that Saudi Arabia’s King Salman has ordered the Saudi Kingdom's National Day annual non-working public holiday of September 23, to be extended to Monday, September 24, 2018.
As per reports of the official announcement, "On the occasion of the National Day, which is on Sunday 13/1/1440 H corresponding to September 23, 2018, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud ordered the extension of the National Day’s holiday for one day to include Monday, 14/14 / 1440H corresponding to September 24, 2018".
A few years ago (2013-04-22), Saudi Arabia's legislative and consultative Shoura Council recently approved Saudi Arabia switching its weekend to Friday-Saturday from the previous Thursday-Friday.
