The Office of the Prime Minister of St. Kitts and Nevis has issued a statement confirming that "Sept. 16, 17, and 19 are public holidays in the twin-island Federation".

Last year (2017-08-30), the Office of the Prime Minister of St. Kitts and Nevis had issued a statement ruling-out the declaration of Monday, September 18, 2018, as a one-off non-working public holiday in St. Kitts and Nevis, as "The Office of the Prime Minister wishes to inform the general public that Saturday, Sept. 16, and Tuesday, Sept. 19, are public holidays in the federation of St. Kitts and Nevis for the observance of National Heroes Day and Independence Day, respectively. Please be informed that Monday, Sept. 18, is NOT a public holiday", thus leaving unchanged the list of official non-working public holidays in St. Kitts and Nevis for the calendar year 2018 as announced by the Office of the Prime Minister of St. Kitts and Nevis, earlier that same year (2017-01-23), and twice amended subsequently (2017-03-31 and 2017-03-16).

Today's announcement by the Office of the Prime Minister of St. Kitts and Nevis is in line with the list of official non-working public holidays in St. Kitts and Nevis for the calendar year 2018 as announced by the Office of the Prime Minister of St. Kitts and Nevis, earlier this year (2018-01-05).
