UAE 2018 Eid-al-Fitr Public Holidays

The UAE Government's Federal Authority for Government Human Resources has approved the dates of the upcoming Eid Al Fitr (End of Ramadan) non-working public holidays for the UAE's Ministries and Federal entities (the public sector), beginning on Ramadan 29, 1439 AH.

The aforementioned announcement of the upcoming Eid Al Fitr (End of Ramadan) non-working public holidays for the public sector, as announced by the UAE Government's, thus states that "Eid Al Fitr holiday for federal government begins on Thursday, 29th day of Ramadan, June 14, and lasts until the 3rd of Shawwal".

The last day of the month of Ramadan was declared an annual public sector holiday, a decade ago (2002-02-12), while, in 2009, the UAE annual public sector holidays for the End of Ramadan were extended to the 3rd day of the month of Shawwal by the "Cabinet Resolution No. (17) of 2009 regarding the Public Holidays at the Federal Government" (2009-04-26).

As is often the case (2017-06-14, 2016-06-27, 2015-07-13), a separate announcement, the UAE Minister of Labour, Saqr bin Ghobash Saeed Ghobash, for the UAE private sector public holidays for the upcoming Eid Al Fitr (End of Ramadan) is still expected.
